Editorial policy
Western Leisure Guide aims to be accurate, clear and independent in its coverage of leisure and pastimes. We explain what we know, make room for uncertainty and revise published material when a meaningful error comes to light.
Accuracy and context
We check factual statements against suitable sources and take care not to present an opinion or an anecdote as a universal rule. When a subject depends on a particular place, group or set of circumstances, we say so rather than suggesting one answer fits all.
Independence and partnerships
Editorial decisions are made for readers, not as a promise of favourable coverage. Any paid, sponsored or partner material is clearly identified as such. A partnership does not guarantee inclusion in editorial coverage, and editorial coverage does not imply a commercial relationship.
Corrections
If you spot a factual error or an unclear passage, use the Contact page and identify the article and detail. We review correction requests and update material when warranted, making the change clear where the nature of the correction calls for it.
Images and illustrations
Images are selected to support the subject rather than imply evidence we do not have. Some illustrations may be AI-generated; when they are, we identify them accordingly and do not present them as documentary photographs.
